She is 27 years old, living in the suburbs of Hanoi, graduated with a major in accounting but did not choose to work in the right profession. "Working in an office requires a salary of 7 million, after deducting food, travel expenses, and phones, it is almost gone. It's difficult to do anything more" - she said.
So she sells online. Selling from small items to cosmetics, from Chinese domestic goods to Korean hand-carried products. Every night, after 8 hours of administrative work, she took the opportunity to livestream, wrap up, and respond to messages. Some days, while eating, I livestream, holding a phone, removing the glue box.
"The most difficult thing is in the first months, no one believes in themselves. Goods are sold slowly, and the capital is hoarded. But I decided to persevere, she said.
She rented a small separate room as a warehouse. Every morning before going to work, she calls shipments to get orders. Every night, we check the goods, record the books, and handle complaints if any. She learned how to run ads, optimize costs, and even learn more skills to manage cash flow.
Her dream is to open a small shop selling mother and baby items, where she not only sells products but also advises young mothers on how to take care of their children. "I have witnessed my sister giving birth to her first child, confused, lacking information. I want to do something practical" - she shared.
To do that, she needs at least 300 million VND in initial capital, of which 200 million VND is saved from three years of online sales, the rest is still being accumulated. She said that online sales help her not only earn income but also train discipline, the ability to withstand pressure and the habit of thinking far away. "The more I do it, the more I see that no one lives for me and dreams, so I need reality to nurture it".
Recently, although the market has slowed down, she has persistently maintained regular orders. In a society that promotes quick success and great achievements, she quietly chooses a small path, quietly gathers each word, and designs for herself a fitting future, where no one applaud and praise her, but she feels secure because she has proactively chosen it.
The dream of a shop may be a few more seasons away. But for her, each package of goods delivered is a step closer. She still gets up early, still checks in, still answers customers in a cheerful voice, as if that dream is very close, just need to persevere to reach it.
