On the evening of June 2, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province said that there were inspection results at the business locations of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company - Branch in Can Tho operating in the province.
Accordingly, on May 30 and 31, the Inspection Team conducted inspections at 4 business locations of this company. The inspected locations include 1 location in My Xuyen town (My Xuyen district), 2 locations on Le Hong Phong street and 30/4 street (Soc Trang city) and 1 business location in Nga Nam town.
For goods that are being traded, establishments will present a list of animal products including pork prepared by the establishments and other processed animal products. The origin of the pork is reported to be imported from the My Xuyen TT slaughterhouse, located in Cho Cu hamlet, My Xuyen TT, owned by Ms. Huynh Thi Ba. The slaughter pigs originated from CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company. This company currently has a slaughterhouse contract No. 5102/CPVN-GM002/2025 signed on January 1, 2025 and an appendix to contract No. 025pl/HDGM/CPHG/2025 signed with the My Xuyen TT slaughterhouse.
For packaged animal products such as chicken, duck, sausage, silkworm sickles, and beef balls imported from outside the province, there must be a certificate of quarantine of animal products transported out of the provincial level. The products displayed and sold at the facility have self-declared versions. In addition, businesses also sell fresh eggs originating from CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company.
The inspection team took grated meat samples at a business location on Le Hong Phong Street to check for African swine Fever, classic swine Fever and Associated Reproductive and Respiratory Disorder Syndrome in North American pigs and sent them to the Veterinary Department of Region VII for testing. The results showed that the meat sample was negative for the above diseases.
The delegation has drawn up working minutes, temporary detention minutes and sealing minutes for a number of items in business, and sealed and handed them over to the owners of preservation facilities. The delegation also invited the competent person of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company, representatives of Can Tho Branch and representatives of the business location at My Xuyen Town to work and explain at the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Soc Trang province at 2:00 p.m. on June 2.
According to the inspection team, at the time of work, no sick pigs, sick chickens, products with a foul smell or expired goods were detected.
However, all 3 locations have expired Certificates of Food Safety Eligibility; at the same time, 3 locations have not yet presented the original certificate of business registration and all 4 locations have not yet presented certificates of food safety training in accordance with legal regulations.

The leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang Province said that he would continue to direct the inspection team to clarify the compliance with the law at the My Xuyen Slaughter Still to verify the origin of pork being traded in the above locations. At the same time, the unit coordinated with the Veterinary Department of the VII region, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hau Giang province and the authorities inside and outside the province to verify issues related to information posted online.
The Department also requested the Inspection Team to advise on effective handling of violations at business locations of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company - Can Tho Branch operating in Soc Trang province.
At the same time, it is proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the Provincial Police to coordinate in checking and verifying information on social networks to strictly handle cases of law violations, affecting the consumption of agricultural products, food safety and livestock farming activities in the province.
