On the afternoon of November 26, speaking with Lao Dong reporter, the leader of the People's Committee of Nhan Ly commune (Lang Son province) confirmed that a particularly serious traffic accident had just occurred in the area.
According to initial information, the accident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. the same day, at Km42+600 QL1, National Highway 1A, through Nhan Ly commune. A 7-seat passenger car with Avanza registration plate 19A-483.13, carrying 6 people, traveling from Loc Binh commune (Lang Son) to Hanoi, collided strongly with a tractor-trailer with license plate: 98E-000.77, pulling a semi-trailer with license plate: 98R-012.92.

The collision caused severe damage to the passenger bus, 4 people died on the spot, 2 people were seriously injured.
As soon as the news was received, the authorities promptly arrived at the scene to direct traffic, examine the scene and take the injured victims to the emergency room.
The leader of the People's Committee of Nhan Ly commune added that all 6 people in the 7-seat car were local. They were on their way from Loc Binh to Hanoi to visit sick people when they suddenly had an accident. Currently, the authorities are coordinating to investigate and clarify the cause of the incident.

This particularly serious accident caused National Highway 1A to be congested for a long time.
The preliminary cause was determined to be that the car was traveling in the wrong part of the road, crashing head-on into a tractor-trailer going in the wrong direction.
According to Lao Dong reporters, by 5:00 p.m. the same day, vehicles in the area were still congested for nearly 10km in each direction.
Vehicles are temporarily instructed to move through the old National Highway 1A to reduce the load.
The Traffic Safety Committee of Lang Son province recommends that drivers with routes through the above area proactively follow the old National Highway 1A to ensure traffic.
For 45-seat passenger cars, tractors and trucks over 5 tons, the authorities requested to arrange temporary stands, and were only allowed to move when the road was reopened. Drivers need to strictly follow traffic regulation instructions.
