On December 8, the Hydrometeorological Station of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that the sea area from Vung Tau to Con Dao has scattered rain and thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
The risk level due to natural disasters at sea has been raised to level 2. It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours, this sea area will be affected by Northeast winds at level 6, gusting to level 7-8, wave height from 2.5-4.5 m, rough seas. All ships operating in the sea area are at high risk of being affected by strong waves and strong winds.
The reason is that the cold high pressure is strengthening to the South, the Northeast wind at sea tends to increase in intensity.
On land, the sky is cloudy; during the day, the clouds will be less cloudy and the sun will be weak. In the afternoon and evening, some places may have showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 24-32oC, average humidity from 80-85%.
In recent days, many localities in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province have experienced dense fog in the early morning. This weather phenomenon is also explained by the influence of cold air masses from the North carrying more moisture to form fog; at the same time, at night the temperature drops causing water vapor in the air to condense into fog.
This phenomenon only appears in the early morning and quickly returns to normal when the sun rises, and is expected to continue for the next few days.
