Da Nang - Unexpected thunderstorms in the sun caused damage to many houses and works in mountainous areas.

On the evening of June 13, Mr. Ngo Quoc Vuong - Chairman of Tra My Commune People's Committee, Da Nang informed Lao Dong Newspaper that a thunderstorm and local strong gusts of wind had just occurred in the area, causing widespread damage to houses, public works and trees of many households.

The incident occurred at about 1 pm on the same day. At this time, the weather was scorching hot when a strong thunderstorm suddenly swept through the areas of Dong Truong, Trung Thi and Mau Ca villages.

Initial statistics show that there were 16 severely damaged cases, of which at least 12 households had their corrugated iron roofs and tile roofs blown off, the most severely some households had their temporary houses collapsed; many properties and machinery were damaged. The Mau Ca village cultural house was also blown off its roof and corrugated iron roof by a tornado.

In addition, thunderstorms also caused great damage to the auxiliary structure system, collapsing canopies and breaking many trees and crops of some other surrounding households.

Immediately after the incident occurred, local authorities mobilized local forces to urgently support families to clean up the rubble, handle fallen green trees and proceed to cover and temporarily re-roof people's houses to ensure absolute safety for people and property. By the end of the day, some slightly damaged households had basically re-roofed their houses to stabilize their accommodation.

The locality has reviewed damage statistics to report to superiors and propose initial support plans for severely damaged households.
