On March 12, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a decision approving the investment policy for the project to build and complete the wastewater collection system around West Lake in Tay Ho District.
The project aims to build a collection system and transitional pumping stations, connected to the wastewater collection system of West Lake in stages 1 and 2 as a basis for building a separate wastewater drainage system completely for the area around West Lake; ensuring the ability to develop and expand the connection of the drainage system of the area in the future.
At the same time, completely stop discharging polluted waste into West Lake, contributing to improving and restoring the environment in the area.
The total estimated investment of the project is 99.149 billion VND; capital from the Tay Ho District budget. The project implementation period is from 2025 to 2027.
The scale of the project includes a separate half-water drainage system: Scattered well system, self- movements; transition pumping station; pressure culvert.
The scale of the projects is calculated to meet the largest traffic flow according to the plan with the expected volume of 3 transitional pumping stations, 20 wastewater separation wells, 120 inspection stations, a network of self- moving sewers about 6.9km long, a network of pressure sewers about 0.9km long.
The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Tay Ho District People's Committee as the investor.
Relevant departments, branches and sectors will coordinate and support to ensure the project is implemented on schedule and with quality.
