Hanoi sets deadline for completing site clearance of 3 bridges over the Red River, Ring Road 2.5

Hanoi City is focusing on deploying site clearance for a number of key transport projects such as 3 bridges over the Red River, and ring roads.

Hanoi City People's Committee has just issued a press release informing about the site clearance situation in the city.

Accordingly, site clearance is of particular importance, deciding the progress of implementing infrastructure development investment projects, effectively exploiting land resources and creating motivation to promote socio-economic growth of Hanoi City.

Currently, communes and wards in Hanoi City are deploying site clearance for about 1,428 projects (including: 1,281 budget-funded projects; 147 non-budgetary projects), including 27 large, important, and key projects, contributing to removing bottlenecks and developing the socio-economy of the Capital.

To complete the GRDP growth target, striving to achieve double-digit growth in 2026, Hanoi City identifies accelerating site clearance and unlocking land resources as a key and urgent task.

Implementing the direction of the City Party Committee and the City People's Council, the Hanoi City People's Committee has focused on leading and directing drastically to remove difficulties and obstacles, and clear "bottleneck points" in compensation, support, and resettlement work to accelerate the progress of project implementation, especially strategic transport infrastructure projects, regional connectivity infrastructure and key projects of the Capital.

The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has directly led, directed, inspected the site and conducted weekly progress reviews for key projects.

The Hanoi Party Committee has established a Steering Committee for site clearance for key projects of the city, headed by the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, 1 Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee as Standing Deputy Head; relevant Party committees, departments, branches and localities are members, in order to promptly direct and remove difficulties and obstacles arising in the implementation process.

Thanks to the synchronous and drastic leadership and direction of the entire political system, land clearance work in the past time, especially from the last 2 months of 2025 to now, has had clear changes and achieved many important results.

Many existing projects, lasting for many years, have been completed for site clearance, typically: 4 bridges over the Red River (Hong Ha bridge, Me So bridge, Van Phuc bridge, Ngoc Hoi bridge); Ring Road 1 section (Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section); Ring Road 4 - Capital Region; traffic intersection around the Chu Van An memorial area with road 70; Tam Trinh road.

The city is focusing on deploying site clearance for ring roads (2.5; 3 and 3.5), key traffic routes and the remaining 3 Red River overpasses (Tu Lien bridge, Tran Hung Dao bridge, Thuong Cat bridge).

In which, the progress of completing site clearance is before June 30, 2026 for 3 bridges over the Red River and the remaining sections of Ring Road 2.5.
