Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen signed and issued Plan No. 301/KH-UBND on the Program for developing supporting industries in Hanoi city by 2025.
The plan aims to specify the orientations, goals and tasks of the Hanoi City Supporting Industry Development Program for the 2020-2025 period to ensure practicality and effectiveness. Promote industrial production according to the supply chain, global value chain, promote supply linkages in the Northern key economic region and across the country. At the same time, promote investment attraction from all economic sectors in the supporting industry sector to increase the quantity and quality of enterprises operating in the supporting industry sector; increase the attraction of supporting industry enterprises to the Southern Hanoi supporting industrial park and industrial parks, high-tech parks, and industrial clusters that have invested in building technical infrastructure.
By 2025, Hanoi city strives to have over 1,000 enterprises operating in the fields of supporting industry, completing the target in Decision No. 2316/QD-UBND dated June 5, 2020 of the City People's Committee; about 40% of supporting industry enterprises have production systems and products that meet international standards, with sufficient supply capacity to participate in the global production network of multinational corporations in Vietnam. In addition, the industrial development index of the supporting industry sector increased by 12%.
The program's content includes connecting and supporting supporting industry enterprises to become product suppliers for domestic and foreign customers; promoting foreign investment attraction in the supporting industry sector: Consulting and providing technical support for supporting industry enterprises; Organizing 02 specialized exhibitions on supporting industry in 2025 with a scale of about 200-300 booths/01 fair of supporting industry enterprises in Hanoi and other provinces, cities, and foreign enterprises; Organizing seminars to promote domestic and foreign investment; Propagating and promoting supporting industry activities in Hanoi.
Support enterprises in applying management systems that meet the requirements of global production chains in corporate governance and production management: Organize training for officials and managers of supporting industry enterprises in Hanoi; Assess the ability and need to apply standards and management systems in production at enterprises; Support the assessment and recognition of corporate governance and production management systems.
Support research and development, application, technology transfer and innovation in experimental production of components, spare parts, raw materials and materials.
