With the goal of saving electricity, Hanoi City aims to use 100% LED street lighting by the end of 2025.

Implementing the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency in 2025 in Hanoi, the city aims to save 1.6% - 1.8% of energy compared to the forecast demand, including saving at least 2.2% of total electricity consumption for each consumption, production and business area.

Accordingly, by the end of 2025, Hanoi will use 100% LED lights for street lighting. Agencies, offices, office buildings, schools, and hospitals must ensure a minimum saving of 5% of total electricity consumption.

Organizations and individuals managing and operating public lighting systems; lighting systems for advertising and outdoor decoration purposes; and traffic lighting must ensure a minimum saving of 30% of total electricity consumption.

Energy-using establishments with electricity consumption of 1 million kWh/year or more must ensure savings of at least 2% of electricity consumption per unit of product per year, or ensure savings of at least 2% of total electricity consumption in the year.

100% of enterprises in industrial parks and industrial clusters and 80% of rural industrial establishments and craft villages have access to and apply solutions for energy saving, efficiency and green transformation.

Strive to have 70 facilities and construction works in the area recognized for using green energy, using energy economically and efficiently (at least 4 to 6 facilities and construction works certified as green buildings, using energy economically and efficiently at the national level)...

100% of key transport enterprises have technical solutions, save energy, use clean energy, green energy, and are environmentally friendly.

To achieve the set goals, in addition to propaganda and raising public awareness, Hanoi City will provide technical support for production, manufacturing, renovation, and conversion of vehicles, equipment, machinery, production lines, construction works, public lighting, and energy saving in households...
