The information about this heartbreaking incident has been confirmed by representatives of the local authorities of Thai Hung commune and Hung Ha district (Thai Binh province).
Accordingly, at around 2:00 p.m. this afternoon (September 30), at the Phu Oc village communal house pond (Thai Hung commune), local people discovered two children drowning and having died.
The identities of the two victims were quickly identified as L.T.V (born in 2014, residing in Phu Oc village, Thai Hung commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province) and N.T.H.M (born in 2015, residing in Tien La village, Doan Hung commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province).
It is known that the two victims are cousins, the location of the drowning incident was a pond near the house of L.T.V. The initial cause was determined to be that at noon, the two children accidentally fled to the village communal house pond to swim without adults watching, leading to drowning and death.
Immediately after the incident, the local authorities of Hung Ha district, Thai Hung commune organized a visit and supported the families in organizing after-sales for the victims with a budget of 6 million VND/child.
