On August 6, Colonel Le Hong Viet - Political Commissar of Hue City Military Command said that the unit is urgently coordinating to verify locations related to martyrs who sacrificed in the anti-American resistance war.
According to Colonel Le Hong Viet, recently, the unit received two important sources of information.
The first source said that in the period 1968 - 1970, trucks of the enemy's army from Da Nang carried the bodies of revolutionary cadres and soldiers who sacrificed to be buried in the Phuoc Tuong pass and Hai Van pass areas, belonging to Chan May - Lang Co commune, Hue city.
The second source related to the incident occurred in September 1974 in the Truoi River area, Loc An commune. During the fighting of Company 5, Battalion 5, Regiment 2, Division 324, about 80 people were injured and sacrificed and were taken to a bunker. After that, the bunker was completely destroyed by the enemy's firepower.
To have more information to serve the verification, organization of seminars and searching for martyrs, the Hue City Steering Committee calls on agencies, units, veterans associations, relatives of martyrs and people who have lived in the above areas to provide relevant information.
