Hai Phong bans Hieu Tu street, warning of dangerous landslide point in Do Son

Hai Phong - On August 24, the Department of Construction just issued a notice prohibiting people and vehicles from entering Hieu Tu street from August 25.

Due to the impact of storm No. 4, Hieu Tu street (Do Son ward) experienced landslides. To ensure traffic safety, Hai Phong Department of Construction announces temporary traffic organization: from 10:00 am on August 25, people and vehicles are prohibited from circulating on Hieu Tu street, the section from Van Hoa street to Hoa Lan villa gate. Drivers of vehicles comply with the orders of traffic control forces and the road signal system.

The Department requests people and vehicles participating in traffic to proactively grasp information and strictly comply to ensure safety when traveling.

In addition to Hieu Tu street, information from Do Son ward, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, in the afternoon of August 25, in the area of the Nghe - Van Le intersection (West route), landslides also appeared from the hillside, soil and rocks and mud spilled onto the road surface, posing a potential risk of unsafety for people and vehicles passing through.

The ward announced and requested people and tourists to limit movement through the landslide area; proactively choose other routes; absolutely do not stop, park or approach the embankment or hillside area that shows signs of landslide; comply with warning signs, instructions and traffic diversion of functional forces. Local authorities have placed warning signs and deployed forces to be on duty and guard in dangerous areas; and at the same time continue to monitor developments to promptly take safety measures.
