On March 28, according to a quick report from the Traffic Police Department of Lang Son Provincial Police, at about 10:55 PM on March 27, at Km6+700 National Highway 1A, in Na Pai village, Dong Dang commune, a tractor-trailer with license plate 89H-083. 40 pulling a semi-trailer 89RM-00097 running in the direction of Huu Nghi - Hanoi collided with a car with license plate 29A-308. 63 traveling in the opposite direction.
The collision seriously injured the car driver, Mr. L.T. A (57 years old, residing in Dong Dang commune) and his wife, Ms. H.L. H (56 years old).
Both were taken to the emergency room but died at Lang Son Provincial General Hospital. Two vehicles were heavily damaged.
The driver of the tractor-trailer is Pham Van Quang, 35 years old, residing in Yen Son ward, Ninh Binh province.
Initial test results showed that this driver had no alcohol concentration and was negative for drugs.
Currently, functional agencies are waiting for the results of alcohol and drug tests for the two deceased victims.
Functional agencies said that the tractor-trailer is a business transport vehicle, but has not been inspected for weight.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified.
