According to the decision, the transferred assets are houses and land belonging to hospitals, medical centers, health stations and units directly under the health sector. The handover is carried out because the units assigned to manage and use are no longer in need of use after implementing organizational arrangement; these facilities are eligible for transfer to local management and handling according to regulations.
In the list of transferred assets, there are many facilities belonging to large medical units in the province. Specifically, Thanh Hoa Rehabilitation Hospital transferred facility 2 at Quang Trung street, Quang Phu ward; Thanh Hoa Dermatology Hospital transferred the old leprosy treatment facility in To village, Cam Thach commune.

According to the list attached to the decision, most of the transferred assets are old health stations, treatment facilities, population - family planning centers or land plots and works that are no longer needed. Some facilities only have land left because the houses have deteriorated, been damaged, collapsed or are no longer in use for a long time.
Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee assigned units with transferred assets and People's Committees of receiving communes and wards to carry out the handover and receipt in accordance with regulations; organize management, develop asset exploitation plans, ensure thrift, efficiency, and avoid waste.
For the assets received, the locality is responsible for managing and handling them according to the provisions of law on management and use of public assets; and at the same time, advising on exploitation or handling plans for establishments that no longer need to use them.
The Department of Finance, Department of Health and related departments and agencies are assigned to guide units in the process of receiving, managing, and handling public assets according to regulations.
This transfer is part of the process of reviewing, arranging, and handling redundant houses and land after Thanh Hoa province implements arrangement and streamlining of the organizational structure and administrative units.
