Hang Tam Co, located on Route 20 Quyet Thang in Bo Trach District (Quang Binh Province), has become one of the important historical relics. This place is associated with the heroic sacrifice of young volunteers in the resistance war against the US, becoming a symbol of revolutionary heroism. In recent years, the Quang Binh provincial government has invested in and developed the relic, in order to honor historical values and educate the younger generation about traditions.
Hang Tam Co is where 13 young volunteers on Road 20 Quyet Thang sacrificed their lives while carrying out the mission of opening the road. In the fierce bombardment of the enemy, they were buried here, becoming a heroic symbol with a resilient and tragic spirit. Quang Binh province considers the preservation of relics an important task, in order to preserve the heroic history and commemorate the heroic martyrs.
Hang Tam Co is not only a historical site, but also known as a spiritual tourist destination. The oral stories and spiritual meanings associated with the number 8, a symbol of sacrifice and bravery, have attracted many visitors to pray for peace and luck. Events such as the death anniversary of heroic martyrs in mid-November every year have become important traditional activities, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate. This is not only a spiritual ceremony, but also an opportunity to educate patriotism and pride in the homeland.
With efforts to preserve and restore the Eight Ladies Cave, it has become an important spiritual tourist destination, attracting more and more domestic and foreign tourists. The efforts to preserve the historical value and heroic spirit of the Eight Ladies Cave by the government and people of Quang Binh province aim to bring this relic further, becoming the pride of Quang Binh province and nurturing patriotism and national pride for future generations.
Renovating and exploiting sacred values
Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan said that in recent times, Quang Binh province has regularly and effectively implemented activities to protect and promote the value of the system of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in the area, including the historical relic of Hang Tam Co. Currently, the relic has been included in important planning and projects of the province in the coming period.
Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Culture and Sports and the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board to synchronously deploy activities to manage, protect and exploit the value of the historical relic Hang Tam Co, in which the restoration and embellishment of the relic is always given attention.
In recent years, from many funding sources such as the provincial budget, sponsorship sources, socialization... many items of the relic have been built such as: Memorial temple, waiting area for visitors, housing and working area for officials, parking lot...
To be worthy of the stature and value of the relic and to serve the needs of visitors, in the coming time, Quang Binh province will further strengthen the state management of the relic. The province will promote the synchronous and effective implementation of activities to protect and promote the value of the relic; improve the quality of the staff directly managing and serving at the relic; prioritize the allocation of resources to restore and embellish existing items.
At the same time, strengthen investment attraction, call for resources to build more items and supporting works such as: Gratitude Tower, bell tower, exhibition house, expand the relic site, parking lot area...
In addition to prioritizing local resources to restore and embellish the Hang Tam Co relic, Quang Binh province also hopes to continue receiving attention and support from localities and businesses to invest in building the relic to be more and more worthy of its value, showing the gratitude of today's generations for the noble sacrifices of those who fell for the cause of national unification and the longevity of the nation.
