A major fire broke out at around 0:00 on July 19 at lane 389 Truong Dinh street, Hanoi. The fire rose high, accompanied by a large column of smoke, engulfing the factory area, causing many people in the area to panic.
According to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper at the scene, at nearly 2:00 a.m. the same day, many people gathered at the beginning of alley 389 Truong Dinh to follow the fire.
As soon as the news was received, the Hanoi City Fire Prevention and Rescue Police, in coordination with functional units, quickly arrived at the scene. Many fire trucks and officers and soldiers were mobilized to carry out fire fighting and rescue work.
Talking to Lao Dong, Ms. Hoa, a witness present at the scene, said that at around 11:50 p.m., she heard a loud explosion and discovered the fire breaking out from a warehouse near her home.
According to Ms. Hoa, the area where the fire broke out was previously a company specializing in providing vegetables and fruits, which is currently being rented out as a warehouse.
People living near the fire area said that this is an area where people often park their cars overnight. When the fire broke out, many people shouted and quickly moved the car out of the danger zone to ensure safety.
By 2am, the fire was still burning fiercely and had not been controlled.
