The Thai Nguyen - Bac Giang - Vinh Phuc regional connecting road project is over 42 km long, starting at Pho Yen City and ending at the intersection with Provincial Road 261 (Dai Tu District).
The project started construction in mid-May 2022, worth more than VND 3,800 billion, with the Thai Nguyen Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor.
After nearly 3 years of construction, the shape of the regional connecting road has gradually emerged. Some main items of the project have been basically completed. Some sections of the route have been paved with asphalt. Currently, construction units are focusing on the construction of the overpass.
There are 3 large overpasses in Pho Yen City on the entire route, including: the railway overpass, the National Highway 3 overpass, and the Cong River overpass. The overpasses have constructed the bridge piers and are installing girders.
Recorded by PV at the Cong River overpass, dozens of workers and machinery were mobilized to implement the project. Bridge girders weighing tens of tons are being installed. At the same time, underpasses for people and box culverts on the route are also being constructed synchronously.
Worker Hoang Van Bay (Minh Dang One Member Co., Ltd. - the construction unit) said that the entire route is being divided into many teams to carry out construction. The items of girder casting, pillar abutment construction, and girder installation are carried out in parallel.
"Each team has over 10 members, everyone is determined to work to ensure progress. Each overpass girder weighs from 70 to 80 tons. It takes 4 to 5 days to form a bridge girder. After casting, the installation will be carried out.
At peak times, I work 3 shifts a day, all night to speed up the progress. The bridge will be completed soon to make it more convenient for people to travel," said Mr. Bay.
On March 12, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen The Hoang - Chairman of Van Phai Commune People's Committee said that the Cong River overpass will help connect the commune with Nam Tien ward. There is a shortened overpass that can travel more than 3km for people. Currently, the site clearance work has been completed, and the construction unit is urgently implementing the project. Local people are looking forward to the overpass being completed and put into operation soon.
