The total volume of river sand exploited is about 10,000m3 to supply for the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Component 4 Project, Phase 1.
For sea sand , from July 8 to August 26, 2024, the volume of sand exploited was 82,695m3 brought to the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway project.
During each sand mine groundbreaking ceremony, the leaders of Soc Trang province always request that contractors ensure safety, correct designation, location, transportation, and proper use during the exploitation process to serve the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Component 4 Project.
Similarly, during three dialogues with residents of the MS01 sand mine area (in Phong Nam and An Lac Tay communes, Ke Sach district), Mr. Tran Van Lau - Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province also requested the relevant agencies and local authorities to publicize all procedures related to sand mining activities for people to monitor and supervise. At the same time, he committed to supporting costs (VND 250,000/day/representative) so that people have more conditions to monitor effectively.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province also pledged that all acts of self-interest, profiteering, and violations in sand mining activities will be strictly handled according to the provisions of the law.
The province has also established two inter-sectoral working groups for river and sea sand. The groups coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and local authorities to strictly manage the exploitation situation, control sand transport vehicles; strengthen the management of national resources, and avoid loss...
