Phu Tho town with nearly 122 years old is currently the oldest town in Vietnam. In recent years, with the effectiveness of attracting investment, Phu Tho town has developed rapidly in industry, services... the urban appearance has been upgraded to be spacious and modern.

However, unlike the hustle and bustle of industrial development areas, the inner city of Phu Tho town still retains its inherent tranquility and peace. For many people in Phu Tho province, mentioning the center of this town on the banks of the Red River brings to mind a somewhat ancient and nostalgic image.

Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Ngan - a resident of Tien Kien commune, Lam Thao district (Phu Tho) - shared: "Tien Kien is close to the town, my family often comes here to play when we have free time. During Tet, we buy flowers, admire flowers, during Mid-Autumn Festival, we come to buy cakes, on normal days, we go shopping at Me market or simply sit at a cafe under the rows of ancient trees... it feels very comfortable and peaceful. I like the current image of the town, for me, Phu Tho has a town like Hanoi has an old quarter".

On the days leading up to the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, public places in Phu Tho town have been renovated and decorated with many types of flowers, all blooming together, creating the image of an urban area that is ancient but no less fresh.

At Binh Minh Square, Phu Tho town has decorated a main landscape cluster and 2 sub-scene clusters. The main landscape cluster stands out in the middle with the words "Happy New Year 2025, the year of the Snake" and a snake mascot model on both sides, below are pots of poinsettias and chrysanthemums. The 4 sub-scene clusters are steel frames with many lanterns hanging on them, with an LED lighting system that lights up at night.

At other public places such as the Central Flower Garden and the Youth Flower Garden, flowers are also displayed in abundance, highlighting models and slogans.

In the colorful space, people eagerly admire and pose next to the fresh flower trellis to get the best photos. Children are free to play after a year of studying, entering the first day of Tet holiday.

Mr. Vu Dinh Thinh - a resident of Ha Thach commune, Phu Tho town - shared: "The day before, I took my wife and children to the central flower garden to play and take pictures. Today, a few friends on their way from Hanoi to Tuyen Quang to celebrate Tet came to visit me. After lunch, we invited each other to come here to play. Everyone loves the scenery and atmosphere here."

According to the representative of the Phu Tho Town Construction Project Management Board, this year, the town focuses on decorating the landscape at locations such as: Binh Minh Square, Central Flower Garden, Youth Flower Garden, Town Party Committee headquarters, Town People's Committee headquarters, traffic islands such as Town Party Committee island, island in front of the station, island in front of the theater.
