According to the resolution just issued by the People's Council of Lang Son province, tuition fees at public educational institutions that do not self-ensure regular expenses are determined according to each level of education.
In which, the tuition fee for preschool children and elementary school students is 322,000 VND per month. Secondary and high school students and continuing education students at the high school level apply the rate of 386,000 VND per month.
However, preschool children, general education students and people studying general education programs at public institutions in the province are not required to pay the above fees.
The tuition fee level stipulated by the Provincial People's Council is the basis for the state budget to subsidize schools when implementing the tuition fee exemption policy.
The exemption policy applies to students under the continuing education program at the secondary and high school levels.
For private and semi-public educational institutions, learners are supported by the budget according to the corresponding level of public schools.
Specifically, preschool children and primary school students are supported with 322,000 VND per month; secondary and high school students and learners of general education programs are supported with 386,000 VND per month.
Thus, public school students are completely exempt from tuition fees according to regulations, while students in private and semi-public schools receive support corresponding to each level of education.
The resolution was passed by the 18th Lang Son Provincial People's Council on July 9, taking effect from July 20, 2026 and applied in the 2026-2027 school year.
