On the afternoon of May 30, Mr. Vo Tinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Trieu Long Commune (Trieu Phong District, Quang Tri Province) said that a tragic drowning incident had just occurred in the area, causing the death of a 7th grade student.
According to initial information, at around 1:00 p.m. the same day, N.V.T.A (born in 2012, residing in Dai Thuong Ha village, Trieu Long commune) and a group of friends went out near the N1 Canal area, Phuong Ngan village. While playing, N.V.T.A unfortunately slipped and fell into the canal.
Discovering the incident, three students who were with him quickly rescued the friend to shore. However, due to the deserted area and the children not having the necessary first aid skills, N.V.T.A did not survive.
Immediately after the incident, the authorities were present at the scene to investigate the cause. At around 1:30 p.m., the body of N.V.T.A. was handed over to his family for burial according to local customs.
It is known that N.V.T.A is a 7th grade student at Trieu Long Primary and Secondary School. I am the second child in the family, in difficult circumstances when my father passed away early.
