Commencement of 300 billion VND technical infrastructure project
Danang University has just held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Technical Infrastructure Project, Sub-project 1 "Construction of technical infrastructure and urgent works for Danang University" on November 25. This is a technical infrastructure project with an investment capital of more than 300 billion VND, implemented on an area of 49 hectares in the Danang University Village Construction Planning Area (in Hoa Quy Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Danang). The construction time of the project is expected to be about 400 days, ending at the end of 2025. When completed and put into use, the project will meet the technical infrastructure requirements to continue constructing works of Danang University according to the approved planning. With the new technical infrastructure conditions, access to and use of existing works of Danang University in Danang University Urban Area will be more convenient, creating a new look for the entire area.
"The investment project will help improve the quality of teaching and research at Danang University, enhance the potential of facilities, and create an advanced and modern academic environment. This is a decisive factor contributing to achieving the overall development goal of Danang University, which is to become a training center, scientific research, and technology development according to international standards," said Mr. Nguyen Manh Toan, Deputy Director of Danang University.
Project "suspended" for 3 decades
The Da Nang University Village project was approved by the Prime Minister in 1997 with a total area of 300 hectares, located in the border area between Quang Nam and Da Nang. Of which, about 110 hectares belong to Hoa Quy ward (Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang city) and about 190 hectares belong to Dien Ngoc ward (Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province). For many reasons, over the past 27 years, this project has only been partially implemented in Da Nang city.
Meanwhile, in Quang Nam, a new project has been implemented on 1.02 hectares of resettlement area for households affected by the University Village perimeter road. The planning project has been prolonged, causing people in the planning area in Dien Ngoc ward to live miserably for decades.
At the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Construction and Development of Danang University on November 16, Mr. Nguyen Kim Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Education and Training - noted that Danang University must increase its determination and focus on directing to accelerate the progress of the Danang University construction project in Hoa Quy ward (Ngu Hanh Son district) and Dien Ngoc ward (Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province).
Recently, Da Nang City has also announced the Innovation Zone, in which priority is given to the construction and upgrading of traffic infrastructure, technical and social infrastructure hubs. Investing in key projects: University Village Urban Area, Riverside Urban Area Southwest of Cau Do Water Plant, Creative Space project in Hoa Xuan Ward.
