Nghe An - After storm No. 3 at the end of July 2025 caused heavy damage, many localities in the West are still struggling to overcome the consequences.

On November 11, according to the reporter's records, many roads in the mountainous communes of the western part of Nghe An province are still littered with rocks and soil, dozens of large and small landslides have not been repaired. Many sections along the Nam Non River were deeply dived by water and the road surface was muddy, making it very difficult for motor vehicles and relief vehicles to move.

At the scene, excavators and trucks were still operating continuously to level the mud and clear the flow. Along the route, warning signs of "Danger - Deep hole" are temporarily posted, while many sections of the road are only enough for one vehicle to pass.

In remote villages, people are still rebuilding their houses after being swept away by floods, using wood, corrugated iron and materials to make accommodation.

Many households that lost their homes still have to stay with the people. Soil, rocks, tree stumps and waste floating with floods are still piled up around many old residential areas, causing unsanitary conditions and posing a potential risk of epidemics.
