More than 380 million VND in fines for 172 traffic violations in Quang Binh

Quang Binh - The authorities fined 172 traffic violations, collected more than 380 million VND, contributing to stabilizing order in Quang Dong commune.

On June 11, Quang Binh Provincial Police said that the Mobile Police Department has coordinated with the Traffic Police Department, the Criminal Police Department and the Quang Dong Commune Police to deploy a peak period of patrolling and controlling traffic safety and order in the area.

Quang Dong commune (Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province) is a locality with great potential for economic and tourism development, with the presence of Hon La Seaport Industrial Park, Quang Trach Thermal Power Plant and scenic spots such as the tombs of General Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoanh Son Quan, Principal Lieu Hanh Temple and a beach over 10km long.

Recently, many groups of teenagers have gathered, violating traffic laws, causing psychological insecurity for local people.

In that situation, from May 28 to June 8, 2025, the Mobile Police Department will preside over and coordinate with the Traffic Police Department, the Criminal Police Department and the Quang Dong Commune Police to deploy 12 patrol and control shifts, with 384 officers, soldiers and 4 service dogs. The working groups are divided into disguised groups, costume groups, welcoming groups and public patrol groups.

As a result, the authorities have issued 172 fines for violations, of which 119 cases are teenagers. 81 motorbikes, 84 driving licenses, 12 vehicle registration certificates have been temporarily detained, 10 cases have been fined, with a total estimated fine of more than 380 million VND.

In addition to handling violations, the authorities also promote propaganda and education on traffic laws to people. The increase in patrols has contributed to stabilizing order, helping people feel secure when participating in traffic, creating a premise for the development of tourism and the local economy.
