On November 9, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaigning Thanh Liet Ward (Hanoi City) coordinated with Viet Duc Friendship Hospital to organize the 2025 Voluntary Blood Donation Festival.
With the message "Every drop of blood given - A life left behind", the program attracted more than 400 volunteers who are cadres, party members, union members, association members and people in the area to register to participate. At the end of the blood donation ceremony, the Organizing Committee received 379 safe blood units, reaching 125% of the plan assigned by Hanoi City, contributing to supplementing blood sources for emergency care and treatment of patients.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hiep - a civil servant of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of Thanh Liet Ward - has participated in blood donation many times and always feels happy to know that his blood drops can save others' lives. "I hope this movement will continue to spread and attract more people to participate," Mr. Hiep shared.
A representative of the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign of Thanh Liet Ward said that the 2025 Voluntary Blood Donation Festival is not only an activity with profound humanitarian meaning but also demonstrates the sense of responsibility, compassion and solidarity of cadres, party members and people of Thanh Liet Ward, contributing to spreading beautiful actions, building an increasingly civilized and affectionate locality.
