On May 5, information from Bac Giang Provincial Police said that according to statistics during the holiday, the traffic police force mobilized nearly 1,400 officers and soldiers, coordinating with the commune police and other police forces to organize 253 patrols.
The goal is to focus on handling acts that are direct causes of traffic accidents, such as: Violating alcohol and drug concentrations; speeding; weaving, swerving; driving in the wrong part of the road or lane; avoiding, overtaking, stopping, or parking in violation of regulations; transporting goods that are overloaded, oversized, or exceeding the prescribed number of people; picking up and dropping off passengers in the wrong place.
Thereby, 1,460 cases were recorded, 6,503 billion VND was fined; 49 cases had their driving licenses revoked; 236 cases had points deducted from their driving licenses; and 615 vehicles were temporarily detained. Of which, 494 cases of alcohol and drug violations were handled; 492 cases of speeding; 16 cases of oversizing, overloading, and containment; 57 passenger buses.
During the 5 days of the holiday, there were 4 traffic accidents in the province, killing 3 people and injuring 1 person.
Compared to the same period in 2024, there was a decrease of 2 cases, 2 deaths, and 1 injury.
