On November 21, information from My Thuan Project Management Board (investor) of component project 1A, Tan Van - Nhon Trach section, phase 1 of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 said that the construction of Nhon Trach bridge is expected to be completed before Lunar New Year 2025.
Previously, in September 2024, contractors also completed the 2 highest main spans of Nhon Trach Bridge.
According to My Thuan Project Management Board, the current construction progress of Nhon Trach bridge construction package, the accumulated output has reached 76% of the contract value, exceeding the set progress by 11%.
The main bridge section was completed and the 3 middle piers were joined in September 2024. The approach bridge section has completed 34/36 abutments and piers, reaching 95%; the installation of girders and concrete of the bridge deck has completed 21/34 spans, reaching 62%.
With the construction package of the approach road, the construction of cement piles has reached 85%. The sand filling of the roadbed has reached 76%, and the crushed stone mix has reached 33.34%.
According to the plan, contractors will construct the bridge deck, asphalt concrete, lighting system, traffic safety, and complete the entire component project 1A by April 30, 2025.
Previously, on September 24, 2022, in Nhon Trach district, the Ministry of Transport coordinated with the People's Committees of Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of component project 1A of the investment project to build the Tan Van - Nhon Trach section, phase 1 of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.
When completed, the project will contribute to shortening the time and creating favorable conditions for travel from Nhon Trach district (Dong Nai) to Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, enhancing the connectivity of satellite cities, expanding the space for developing land funds, services, trade, industry, logistics... for provinces and cities in the region.
In particular, the project contributes to remote traffic diversion and congestion reduction for inner-city routes in Ho Chi Minh City, gradually contributing to the completion of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.
The project is about 8.22 km long, including 6.3 km through Dong Nai and 1.92 km through Ho Chi Minh City. Construction time is 3 years.
The project is built on the scale of a level III plain road, with a design speed of 80km/h. The roadbed width is from 20.5m - 26m, including 4 motor lanes and 2 mixed lanes.
Total investment is 6,955.65 billion VND, of which site clearance cost is 2,250.73 billion VND (including Dong Nai 651.3 billion VND and Ho Chi Minh City 1,599.4 billion VND).
