Hue urgent announcement, students in the whole province are off school due to floods

HUE - On the morning of November 25, Hue issued an urgent notice, requiring students across the province to stay home from school on November 25 because flood waters are rising rapidly and heavy rain is continuing.

According to the Hydrometeorological Station of Thua Thien Hue province, the flood on the rivers in Hue is currently rising rapidly. At 5:00 a.m. on November 25, the water level of the Huong River at Kim Long station was at 2.88m, 0.62m below alert level 3; the Bo River at Phu Oc was at 3.65m, 0.65m above alert level 2.

It is forecasted that today, November 25, water levels on rivers will continue to rise, flood peaks on Huong River and Bo River may reach and exceed alert level 3, beware of widespread flooding in downstream areas.

According to the Thua Thien Hue Hydrometeorological Station, in the past 10 hours, the mountainous areas of A Luoi, Nam Dong, Phong Dien, Phu Loc districts and Huong Tra town have had heavy rain, very heavy rain; especially the Bach Ma mountain area (Phu Loc district) has had especially heavy rain.

To ensure the safety of students and teachers, the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue province announced that students in the whole province will be off school on November 25.
