On the morning of June 14, local authorities continued to mobilize forces to search for 4 people missing due to floods, including 2 biological sisters in Tan Hoa commune (Minh Hoa district) and 2 couples in Nhan Trach commune (Bo Trach district).
In Tan Hoa commune, more than 50 people from the police, militia and local people have been mobilized, divided into many search groups along the river and on the shore.
Previously, at around 1:00 a.m. on June 13, 3 women in village 3 went to see frog collectors and were unfortunately swept away by floodwaters. 1 person was lucky to escape, the remaining 2 people are missing biological sisters.
After many hours of searching in heavy rain and fast-flowing water, by this morning the water had receded more than 1m, the weather was calm, making the search more smooth.
Meanwhile, in Nhan Trach commune, the authorities have not yet found the missing couple who went fishing on the Dinh River since the early morning of June 13. The son of the two victims said that when he returned to search, he discovered his parents' boat drifting away, with no one on the boat.
Because the water was still cloudy and deep, diving to search was difficult. The Nhan Trach commune government said it is continuing to mobilize more forces to expand the search area to the estuary and coastal areas.
Both incidents are being urgently deployed by rescue forces.
