In Dai Hung commune (Dai Loc district) - the flood center of the province, floodwaters suddenly began to rise from about 2:30 am on June 12, leaving hundreds of households unable to react.

According to preliminary statistics, by 1:00 p.m. on June 12, the whole commune had more than 300 houses in Dai My, Thanh Dai, Thai Chan Son and Truc Ha villages submerged under 1 meter deep. Many families had to stay up all night to move their belongings and move their livestock to higher ground to avoid damage.
Irrigation pumping stations were also flooded; the entire crop and rice area was flooded and 1 buffalo died in Yeu village. So far, there have been no human casualties.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Than - Chairman of Dai Hung Commune People's Committee - said: "The entire traffic route in the commune is currently isolated due to deep flooding. We have deployed a 4-on-site plan to respond, while mobilizing local shock forces to watch over the rain all night, organizing interspersed evacuation on the spot.

Accordingly, the shock force mobilized and brought the elderly, weak people, alone people, and children in deeply flooded and low-lying areas to interspersed in high, solid houses in the village, to ensure the safety of their lives while not being able to access support vehicles from outside.
According to local leaders, all efforts to evacuate, interspersed, and support people were urgently carried out on the morning of June 12, in the condition that floodwaters rose rapidly. By noon of the same day, it was almost impossible to reach the deep, low-lying flooded area.
"This is a historic flood, when in mid-June the floodwaters rose so quickly and suddenly that people did not have time to react. Estimated great damage" - the leader of Dai Hung commune worried.

Meanwhile, in the mountainous district of Dong Giang, heavy rain that has lasted for many days has caused many inter-commune traffic routes to be eroded, flooded, causing traffic jams and damaging many areas of people's crops.
Mr. Alang Lan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ka Dang commune - said: "Heavy rain caused the stream water to suddenly rise, many areas of crops in Hiep group (Ben Hien village) and Cot Buom village were heavily flooded. In particular, there were at least 2 serious landslides at Ba Nga slope and Hiep cluster, causing thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil to spill onto the road.

The local government has mobilized forces to stand guard, put up warning ropes, and mobilized households living near the landslide area to evacuate to safety.
In addition to Ka Dang commune, some other communes such as Song Kon, Jo Ngay, and A Ting also recorded flooding. In Son and But Tinh groups (Bhlo Ben village, Song Kon commune), the floodwaters suddenly rose and completely cut off, making it impossible for all vehicles to circulate.
