Information from the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Bac Ninh Provincial Police) said that at around 0:00:00 on December 18, the unit received a fire report from Quang An 1 Industrial Joint Stock Company, Dai Dong Commune, Tien Son Industrial Park.
At the scene, the authorities urgently mobilized officers, soldiers, vehicles and equipment to quickly approach the scene and deploy a fire extinguishing plan.
It is known that because the enterprise produces items such as: plastic, synthetic rubber, packaging... which are all flammable materials, generating a lot of smoke and toxic gas, fire fighting work is difficult and prolonged.
The fire accompanied by a loud explosion and fire, creating a column of blockades hundreds of meters high.
As of the morning of December 18, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force is continuing to handle the remnants of the fire. Up to now, there have been no human casualties but the factory is severely damaged.
Currently, the authorities are examining the scene, assessing the extent of the damage, investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire.
This is the second time a major fire has occurred in Tien Son Industrial Park in less than a month.
Previously, at around 7:30 p.m. on November 27, a major fire also broke out at a paper product factory of Dai Phat Joint Stock Company, located in Tien Son Industrial Park.
The fire did not cause any human casualties, but the entire structure of the factory of about 6,000m2 was burned down.
