On the afternoon of June 19, the 3rd National Press Forum in 2026 officially opened with the theme "Vietnamese Press - Loyalty, Creativity, Responsibility in the new era".
This is a key activity within the framework of the 2026 National Press Festival, gathering a large number of leaders of press agencies, managers, media experts and journalists nationwide.
Organized annually since 2024, the National Press Forum has become a large-scale professional exchange space, contributing to connecting journalists, experts and managers to discuss important issues of Vietnamese journalism in the context of digital transformation and international integration.

This year's forum includes 11 sessions, including 2 plenary sessions (opening and closing) and 9 in-depth discussion sessions taking place on June 20.
The discussion sessions focused on many important contents such as protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, developing the press economy, press copyright in the AI era, promoting the image of Vietnam on the digital press ecosystem, applying AI in the editorial office, policy communication and strategic autonomy of press agencies in the digital age.
Speaking at the opening session, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association - presented a paper with the theme "Developing journalism in the era of artificial intelligence".

The paper analyzes the strong impacts of artificial intelligence on the global media industry, while emphasizing that AI is changing the way of producing and distributing information and posing new requirements for operating models, human resources as well as the competitiveness of press agencies.
Accordingly, the issue is not only stopping at applying AI to journalistic activities but also mastering technology, restructuring content production processes, building modern editorial model and towards sustainable development in the digital media environment.

The 3rd National Press Forum in 2026 takes place on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, continuing to affirm its role as an important professional forum, where journalists, experts and managers share experiences and propose solutions for Vietnamese journalism to develop professionally, modernly, and meet the requirements of the new era.
