On the evening of February 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the People's Committee of Binh Duong ward to organize the opening ceremony of the Spring Flower Street and Binh Ngo Tet Book Street 2026 festival at the park on Le Loi street, Binh Duong ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Attending the opening program were Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, along with leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and leaders of Binh Duong ward.
The opening program was attended by thousands of people and workers living in the northern area of Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Binh Duong Ward People's Committee, the festival has many rich activities, becoming an attractive spring travel destination for people and workers in the first days of the new year. The highlight is that the festival has a large space to organize a combination of book street and spring flower street at one point. Thereby, it is convenient for people to have fun and visit.
This year's book street is highlighted by an exhibition of publications, documents and images introducing Ho Chi Minh cultural space; propaganda to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026); and at the same time towards the election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
In addition, the festival also introduces outstanding achievements in economy, culture, and politics of Ho Chi Minh City after the merger with the message "Ho Chi Minh City - a livable city".
Here, there are also many experiential activities for children and families such as folk games, calligraphy street for calligraphy, spring lucky money book program, Tet photo corner... contributing to creating a joyful and friendly atmosphere for all ages.
Meanwhile, the spring flower street space takes the main idea of "The Era of Rising" with decorative models such as: "Saint Giong pulls bamboo to fight invaders", "Horse returns to success", "Prosperous Spring" and a colorful flower street.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports said that on February 16, a New Year's Eve art program will take place here with the participation of many famous singers in Ho Chi Minh City. In particular, the art fireworks program to welcome the new year Binh Ngo 2026 will serve people and workers in the northern area of Ho Chi Minh City.
