The event was organized by the People's Committee of Dong Trieu city, part of a series of activities to celebrate the announcement ceremony of the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of Dong Trieu city and to receive the First Class Labor Medal.
The program was attended by leaders of departments and branches of Quang Ninh province; leaders of neighboring localities such as Chi Linh, Kinh Mon (Hai Duong), Luc Nam (Bac Giang), Uong Bi (Quang Ninh); along with representatives of Business Associations of the provinces: Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and many enterprises inside and outside the province.
This trade fair and exhibition attracted nearly 70 participating businesses with 125 booths displaying more than 1,000 diverse products.
Products include scientific technology, digital transformation, processing industry, construction materials and typical OCOP products achieving 4-5 stars from many localities across the country.
The event takes place from December 30, 2024 to January 2, 2025, creating opportunities for businesses to promote their brands, expand connections and exchange experiences.
As one of five localities (Ha Long, Mong Cai, Cam Pha, Dong Trieu and Co To) of Quang Ninh province selected to pilot the night-time economic development model, Dong Trieu city initially implemented the project at Quang Ninh Gate tourist area.
The model has built unique tourism products, including: tourism services, cultural activities, entertainment, food and beverage services, shopping. In the future, we will continue to research and build a more complete model to meet the needs of tourists from all over the world when coming to Dong Trieu.
Mr. Le Van Do - Vice Chairman of Dong Trieu City People's Committee - said: "The night-time economic model is an opportunity for Dong Trieu to effectively exploit tourism potential, while building the city into an attractive, modern and civilized destination".
