On December 30, the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor (FLD) held a conference to review the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD) and trade union activities in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.
In 2024, Quang Ninh trade unions at all levels achieved many outstanding results, actively contributing to protecting the rights of employees, caring for workers' lives and improving the effectiveness of trade union activities.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has organized 22 inspections and supervisions of the implementation of labor laws at enterprises, signed 85 new collective labor agreements and supported more than 14,000 union members and workers affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi) with a total amount of 13.43 billion VND.
Programs such as "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Sharing", "Tet Union Market" and "Worker Month" were organized enthusiastically, bringing practical benefits to union members.
Through the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers", there have been more than 4,600 initiatives with a total value of over 48 billion VND and 145 emulation works and products recognized, bringing benefits of over 8 billion VND.
Trade unions at all levels have awarded 2,500 outstanding union members and workers.
The whole province has established 92 grassroots unions, reaching 131% of the plan, admitted 10,683 union members (reaching 107.8% of the plan), and introduced 2,245 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission.
In 2025, Quang Ninh trade unions at all levels will continue to implement the theme: "Participate in building a clean and strong Party; focus on developing union members". Accordingly, strive to establish 90 new grassroots unions, admit 20,000 union members, develop 15,000 more union members, train and introduce at least 2,268 outstanding union members for the Party to consider admission.
Trade unions at all levels continue to mobilize and support the construction of "Union Shelters" for workers in difficult circumstances, expand the "Welfare Program for Union Members" to 30% of union members and ensure that union members in need of loans are provided from the Poor Workers' Capital Support Fund.
At the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor launched the emulation movement in 2025 with the theme: "Emulation to achieve achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels of Quang Ninh province, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of Quang Ninh province, towards the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress".
On this occasion, 81 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements were awarded, of which 48 collectives and individuals were awarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and 33 collectives and individuals were awarded by the Provincial Confederation of Labor.
