On the afternoon of November 27, Mr. Nguyen Anh Son - Deputy Head of the Mineral Resources Department of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ha Tinh - said that currently, the whole province of Ha Tinh has 65 mineral mines in operation. However, due to many large projects and works being implemented in the area, there is a shortage of new mines that only meet about 70% of the material demand.
From that situation, recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has coordinated with local authorities and relevant functional agencies to actively carry out procedures to prepare for the auction of 15 mineral mines (12 filling mines, 2 construction sand mines and 1 sand and gravel mine) for common construction materials.
Of which, it is planned to auction 8 mineral mines in the first phase at the end of December 2025. Phase 2 is expected to auction 7 mines in January 2026.
The first round of auctions includes: Hill mine in Cup Buoi area, Hoanh Son ward, area of 14.98 ha; hill mine in the North of Sim 2 mountain, Song Tri ward, area of 13.08 ha; hill mine in Ky Xuan commune, area of 6.97 ha; hill mine in Dong Mo long stream area, Cam Trung commune, area of 6.6 ha;
Hill land mine in Yen Thuong village, Thach Xuan commune, area of 5.84 ha; hill mine in Dong But mountain area, Ha Linh commune, area of 9.7 ha; hill land mine in Trung Son village, Huong Do commune, area of 8 ha; sand and gravel mine to build the Ngan Sau riverbed, Tan Huong village, Phuc Trach commune, area of 3.86 ha.
7 mineral mines auctioned in the second phase, including: Land mine in Trang Chay mountain area, Son Tien commune, area of 5 hectares; land mine in Khe Buong area, Duc Dong commune, area of 6.64 hectares; land mine in Tan Huong 2 area, Duc Dong commune, area of 6.95 hectares;
Hill land mine in Nam Phong village, Dong Loc commune, area of 11.54 ha; hill mine in Vu Quang commune, area of 7.03 ha; sand mine for building the Ngan Sau riverbed, Thuong Duc commune, area of 6.92 ha; sand mine for building the Lam riverbed, Bac Hong Linh ward, area of 4.5 ha.
"I am sure that after successfully organizing the auction of the above 15 mineral mines, it will meet the material needs of works and projects, as well as the housing construction needs of people in the province," Mr. Son shared.

As Lao Dong reported, recently in Ha Tinh, there has been a shortage of construction materials, especially for filling soil. The incident has caused many businesses to worry about affecting the progress of projects and works.
The reason for the shortage of common construction materials is determined to be due to the forecast of demand for minerals for common construction materials that are not close to reality, especially the forecast of demand for materials for key projects, industrial parks, and industrial clusters.
The preparation of land use planning and plans for mineral activities is not timely and synchronous, causing difficulties in developing a plan for auctioning mineral exploitation rights.
Some previously licensed auctioned mines have small annual exploitation capacity, and the long exploitation time has affected the supply to serve market demand.
