On May 27, information from Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ha has just signed a document reminding the work of updating data on the Provincial Intelligent Monitoring and Operation Center (IOC).
In which, requesting departments, agencies, branches, non-business units and People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones to strictly implement the responsibility of providing and updating data according to regulations.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, previously on December 9, 2025, the province issued Decision No. 2421/QD-UBND on the Regulation on management, operation and exploitation of the Khanh Hoa Provincial IOC Center.
Data updates on the system must ensure the principle of "right - sufficient - clean - live", and be carried out periodically, promptly and in accordance with regulations to ensure the system operates effectively and substantively.
However, through review, many units are still slow to update data; some criteria do not have data such as disaster prevention, disease prevention, results of implementing type I urban criteria, results of implementing criteria for centrally-run cities...
According to the province's assessment, the slow update situation not only affects the direction and administration work but also affects the progress of implementing tasks related to Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
The Provincial People's Committee requests units to strictly implement data updates according to assigned functions and tasks. Notably, for cases of slow updates, the province has issued specific sanctions to handle responsibility.
Accordingly, if the unit is reminded 3 times in a year by the Department of Science and Technology of Khanh Hoa province, the agency leader will be reviewed for responsibility. In case of being reminded 6 times in a year, the head of the unit may be considered for disciplinary action according to regulations.
The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Science and Technology of Khanh Hoa province to continue to be the focal point for managing and operating the IOC system; and at the same time research technical solutions to support agencies and localities to update data faster and more accurately, reduce manpower and processing time, and move towards automation.
In addition, this unit is responsible for periodically inspecting weekly, compiling lists of agencies and localities that are slow to update data to remind; periodically summarizing cases of repeated violations at the end of the month to report to the Provincial People's Committee and functional agencies for handling according to regulations.
On May 14, 2025, Khanh Hoa province launched the Intelligent Monitoring and Operation Center (IOC). The center has been deployed since 2023 on a unified data platform to support management and operation based on real-time data, towards a modern management model.
In the period 2025-2030, IOC Khanh Hoa continues to expand its scale, deeply integrate data in many fields and apply technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data (Big Data), Internet of Things (IoT) to serve the goal of building digital government and smart cities.
