On January 29, recorded at Phu Cuong bridge (spanning the Saigon River connecting Binh My commune and Thu Dau Mot ward, Ho Chi Minh City), damaged expansion joints are being repaired. The construction unit is repairing expansion joints from Thu Dau Mot ward to Binh My commune.
Damaged expansion joints were replaced, and the peeled connection point was also flattened. When some expansion joints were repaired, vehicles traveling through became easier and more convenient.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported on the damage of the expansion joints on Phu Cuong bridge, causing unsafety for vehicles passing through here. Some vehicles passing through, have subsided into the expansion joints, causing vehicle damage.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has requested Phu Cuong Bridge BOT Joint Stock Company to urgently repair the structural damage on Phu Cuong Bridge, regularly clean and collect stagnant soil on the bridge deck and roads to the bridge; not to continue to allow inadequacies in the bridge structure causing disorder and traffic safety.
In addition, strengthen coordination with local police to deploy incident handling plans when traffic congestion occurs on Phu Cuong bridge and connecting roads.

Phu Cuong bridge was built in 2003 and put into use in 2007. The bridge spans the Saigon River with a length of 446m, a bridge span of 14m, and organizes 2-way traffic, with 2 lanes in each direction. The toll collection time through Phu Cuong bridge is expected to last until 2031.
