On June 24, Dinh Trang Thuong Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) unexpectedly rewarded 2 collectives and 7 individuals for their achievements in participating in rescuing and saving the drowning incident that occurred on the Dong Nai River.

Previously, in the Da Dang 1 bridge area on the Dong Nai River, the border section between Dinh Trang Thuong commune and Phuc Tho Lam Ha commune, a tragic drowning incident occurred, killing 3 people.
Immediately after receiving the news, the commune police force, the Military Command of Dinh Trang Thuong commune, functional forces of Phuc Tho Lam Ha commune and local people coordinated with the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police to urgently deploy search and rescue work.
Despite unfavorable weather conditions and strong currents, the forces still made continuous efforts, regardless of danger, to organize searches and bring the victims back to their families for funeral arrangements.

Recognizing the spirit of responsibility and effective coordination, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee Dinh Trang Thuong decided to commend unexpectedly 2 collectives and 7 individuals directly involved in rescue and relief.
These are forces that show courage and timely support in the search and overcoming of incidents.
At the commendation ceremony, leaders of Dinh Trang Thuong Commune People's Committee praised the quick and effective involvement of the forces; and at the same time proposed to continue to strengthen propaganda and raise awareness of preventing drowning accidents, especially in dangerous river and stream areas.
The commendation aims to recognize and encourage the spirit of responsibility for the community, and at the same time spread the beautiful image of functional forces and people in disaster prevention and control, rescue and relief in the locality.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported: In the afternoon of June 18, a group of 4 people came to swim in the Da Dang 1 bridge area on the Dong Nai River and were swept away by water.
People rescued 1 person, the remaining 3 people are missing including Mr. Doan Manh Tai (37 years old), grandson Doan Manh Nguyen (16 years old) and grandson Doan Van Kim Phat (14 years old).
After that, more than 100 people from the police, military and provincial rescue forces and people were mobilized to search.
By the morning of June 20, functional forces had found the bodies of 3 victims and handed them over to their families for funeral arrangements.
