On the afternoon of March 26, Nha Trang Ward People's Committee organized a commendation and reward ceremony for Mr. Do Van Thanh Tai - a member of the force participating in protecting security and order in Phuoc Tho 2 Residential Group - for his courageous action of rescuing people in the house fire that occurred on the same day.
According to initial information, on the morning of March 26, a house on Le Thanh Phuong street (Tay Nha Trang ward) suddenly caught fire.
Detecting a burning smell and hearing shouts, Mr. Do Van Thanh Tai - who lives near the scene - quickly ran to support.
Here, Mr. Tai discovered two old men trapped in the house, one of whom was on the 2nd floor and could not move on his own.
Without hesitation, he immediately approached the dangerous area, carried the old man down, and at the same time helped to bring the old woman out safely.
Mr. Tai's courageous and timely action contributed to saving people in an emergency situation, receiving recognition from local authorities and people.
At the commendation ceremony, Chairman of Nha Trang Ward People's Committee, Mr. Tran Xuan Tay, awarded a certificate of merit to Mr. Do Van Thanh Tai for his outstanding and unexpected achievements in rescue and relief work. Previously, the ward leaders also awarded hot bonuses to promptly encourage morale.
