On the evening of April 30, a fire suddenly broke out in a warehouse in Kieu Ky commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi.
People living near this area said that at dawn, people suddenly discovered piles of high-grade paper inside the warehouse area on fire.
After receiving the report, the authorities quickly arrived at the scene to handle the situation.
Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Do Van Kien - Chairman of Kieu Ky Commune People's Committee said that the warehouse where the fire occurred was no longer operating. The fire broke out at 6pm. All the burned papers were discarded papers.
The authorities then dispatched 3 fire trucks to the scene.
According to the initial investigation, at noon on April 30, people used a welding machine to remove the corrugated iron roof. The welding then fell onto the paper piles and burned silently from noon until evening, and began to flare up.
"The fire did not cause any damage to people or property" - Mr. Kien informed.
