From the morning of August 31, along Nguyen Thai Hoc, Trang Thi, Dien Bien Phu streets... many people appeared carrying brochures, chairs, even tarpaulins and locking them in barriers to "show off" beautiful locations.
In the harsh afternoon weather, many people "pull up", cover their boxes, and spread plastic and wait patiently. The police and civil defense forces have had to work very hard, constantly reminding and mobilizing to dismantle to avoid affecting their health and disrupting public order. However, after the authorities disappeared, many people immediately rushed out to take up their seats, leading to jostling and controversy over their positions.
Notably, to serve the people, Hanoi City has installed 10 battle tarpaulins at 5 central locations including: Tay Son flower garden (Hoan Kiem), Le Truc flower garden (Ba Dinh), Nui Truc - Kim Ma intersection (Giang Vo), Hanoi Station yard (Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam) and the area opposite 14B Le Truc (Ba Dinh). The tents have the capacity to accommodate hundreds of people, and have chairs inside to rest in the sun and rain.
However, in reality, many people still choose to sun exposure to sit outside to keep a seat, instead of going into tarpaulins.

Fed up with the moment of sawing the flag, visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum
Having the opportunity to go to Hanoi for the first time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha (Hoa Trach, Quang Tri) had planned many days in advance and invited 3 friends to accompany her.
As soon as they knew I wanted to go, my friends were very excited. So on the evening of August 30, we left. At 4am this morning (31.8), my car had just stopped in Hanoi, I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere of preparation for the holiday. The streets are covered with flags and flowers, the crowd is bustling, bustling and solemn" - Ms. Ha excitedly said.
What moved Ms. Ha and will always remember is the moment she stood to wave the flag at Ba Dinh Square, then visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum. "I was really choked up, tears kept flowing. Having directly visited Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, I clearly felt the pride of the nation, and saw more responsibility towards the country" - Ms. Ha shared.

After the special experiences, Ms. Ha expressed her wish: "I hope people will follow the instructions of the authorities. Maintaining order and health when going to see a parade is also a way to express patriotism, so that the important holiday can take place solemnly, safely and completely".
Also busy preparing the day before to return to the capital before the parade, Ms. Do Thi Hai (Ha Trung, Thanh Hoa) said that her family of more than 10 people had arrived in Hanoi since 5:00 a.m. on August 31. "I have always wanted to have the opportunity to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum. This time, the whole family agreed to have a special trip, both as a tour and a journey back to the source. We prepared cakes, candy, and drinks to experience together.
Mrs. Hai and her family were guided by the authorities to go to the battlefield tarpaulin house to avoid the heat. "In a cool, safe tarpaulin house, everyone can rest with peace of mind. Tomorrow, when the weather calms down, the whole family will go out to the street to watch the parade. The atmosphere here is wonderful and sacred. Taking my children and grandchildren with me, I want the next generations to feel national pride, so that the love of country in them will increasingly be nurtured" - Ms. Hai said emotionally.
Like Ms. Hai, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (Van Xuan - Phu Tho) shared: "My family came to Hanoi from Phu Tho very early, and was arranged a place to stay in a rented house, so it was very convenient and thoughtful. Living in the atmosphere of preparation for the parade, I clearly felt the excitement, pride, and sacredness of National Day.
I just hope everyone will follow the instructions of the authorities, avoid exposure to the sun to reserve a place, which is both harmful to health and loses the solemnity of the important holiday.
