Throughout the night of August 25 to the morning of August 26, due to the impact of storm No. 5 (Kajiki), there was heavy rain in Hanoi, causing many roads to be deeply flooded.
Strong winds also caused an ancient tree at the Tran Phu - Chu Van An intersection (Ba Dinh ward) to be uprooted and hit 2 cars traveling on the road on the morning of August 26.
At the scene, an ancient acacia tree with a large trunk diameter crushed a car with license plate 30M-023.XX, causing severe damage to the front of the car.
At the same time, a large branch also hit a car with the license plate 30G-864.XX.
Mr. V (the driver of a car involved in an accident) said that there was no wind or rain when he was traveling here. When he discovered an ancient tree on the side of the road showing signs of about to fall, the male driver immediately broke the car back.
About 10-15 seconds later, a rosewood fell onto the road and hit Mr. V and another car traveling in front, fortunately all the people in the car were safe.

Upon receiving the report, Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 (Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police) sent officers and soldiers to the scene to direct traffic and coordinate with other forces to clean up fallen trees.
By early afternoon of August 26, the fallen trees had been handled by the authorities, ensuring smooth traffic.
