On the morning of March 6, the military handover and reception ceremony in Son La province was held at 7 locations in communes and wards: Muong La, Thuan Chau, Song Ma, Chieng Coi, Phu Yen, Yen Chau and Moc Chau.
At the enlistment point of Yen Chau High School (Yen Chau commune), hundreds of people from communes in the area came to see their children off to enlist.


Mr. Doan Xuan Ngoc, Chairman of Yen Chau Commune People's Committee, said that this year the Area 4 Defense Command has selected and called 140 young people from Yen Chau, Chieng Hac, Long Phieng, Yen Son and Phieng Khoai communes to enlist in the army.
At the Song Ma troop receiving point, the atmosphere of the troop handover day took place solemnly and bustlingly. Relatives reluctantly reminded and sent many wishes to the new recruits before leaving.
On both sides of the road, students and people stood crowded, waving goodbye, adding motivation for young people to pack their backpacks and enlist.

New recruit Vi Thao Truong, enlisted at the 2nd Area Defense Command (Song Ma), shared: "I hope my parents at home are always healthy. I will try to train and complete the assigned tasks well.
This year, area 2 (Song Ma) completed 100% of the military service target with 309 citizens enlisting, of which 215 citizens performed military service and 94 citizens performed police service.


At the enlistment point in Muong La commune, many families were moved to see their children off to enlist. Ms. Lo Thuy Linh saw her younger brother Lo Van Dat enlist this time, expressing pride and wishing him good training in the military environment.


In 2026, the province is assigned to select and call 1,995 citizens to enlist for military service and People's Police service.
Thanks to the drastic involvement of the entire political system, the locality has completed 100% of the recruitment target, ensuring both quantity and quality.
