At about 12:30 pm on January 20, smoke suddenly engulfed the bridge over the To Lich River (section at the intersection with Lang street).
Mr. Toan - a salesman about 30 meters from the scene said that smoke was emitted from under the bridge, accompanied by a strong smoke bite, making him and a businessman and trader here very uncomfortable.
Many people have to find other travel routes, instead of going straight across the To Lich river bridge" - Mr. Toan said.

Regarding the cause, Mr. Toan said that it may be because someone burned trash or burned flammable materials under the bridge.
After receiving the news, 2 fire trucks and many officers and soldiers were dispatched to the scene to perform their duties.
The fire was quickly controlled.
At about 1 pm, officers and soldiers collected equipment and drove fire trucks away from the scene.

The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
