On the night ship on January 3 carrying thousands of soldiers from Hanoi to the South to prepare for the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, there are mothers and wives who temporarily put their private lives on hold, to focus on completing the noble tasks of the Fatherland.
It has been more than 10 days since they were away from home.
Talking to us after finishing the training session on the A50 training ground, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Thi Duyen (Information Female Officers' Team) emotionally said: "On my day of departure from the police station to perform my duties in the South, my two children ran to the station, hugged and took their mother. Although they did not say a word, their eyes were filled with pride and were still very lost."

For Ms. Duyen, her family is a strong spiritual support, helping her overcome all difficulties in sports. Her husband is also a soldier, understanding the rhythm of life and pressures in the army, so he always sympathizes and shares the hardships she has gone through, especially during the peak period preparing for the important anniversary of the country.
Every day after practicing, Ms. Duyen opens her phone to look up photos of her children or short videos her husband sends her. Every message and encouragement from her husband and children gives Ms. Duyen more spiritual strength, helping her to be more confident in her sports.
Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Thi Duyen shared that although she missed her family, the trust in her children's support and the pride of their children always gave her more motivation to strive to complete her mission.
For her, participating in the event "Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the river crossing a strip" is not only a responsibility, but also an honor for the entire soldier's family.
Amidst the burning sun of the sports school, every decisive step, every step of the Information Women's Union is like a weaving of the heroic image of will and pride. They represent the image of resilient and brave Vietnamese female soldiers.
For Senior Lieutenant Tran Thi Ha (Information Female Officers), being present in the formation to prepare for the parade and parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification is a great honor, it is difficult to put into words.
Exactly 10 years ago, she participated in a parade on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of this important event and this year's return brought her special emotions - both proud and sacred.
As one of the "steel roses" continuing to be chosen for this meaningful mission, Senior Lieutenant Ha considers this an important milestone in his military journey.
Not everyone has the opportunity to participate in two such big parades. We clearly understand the responsibility and expectations of superiors, so every step and every move must demonstrate the spirit, precision and discipline of soldiers, Ms. Ha shared.
