Recently, a Facebook page called "NHA" posted a status line with the content: "It hurts people who go to massage in Hue to see that they are asked to fill in their citizen identification number ( CCCD ), and when asked, the staff tells them that the police require it. will check every month...".
After the content of the above Facebook page was posted, it received many mixed comments.
Regarding the above issue, on August 28, I discussed with reporters from Lao Dong Newspaper and City Police. Hue said that the police do not have any regulations requiring massage establishments to require residents and tourists to fill in their CCCD numbers when experiencing the service.
Currently, the police are contacting the person who posted the above information to find out which massage facility asked this person to provide the CCCD number and where to take the next steps.
Also related to the above issue, the Department of Information and Communications of Thua Thien Hue also said that there are basically no regulations requiring people and tourists to fill in the CCCD number when experiencing massage services.
The unit has received the initial information. Accordingly, the above Facebook page belongs to a person in Hanoi. The Department is also coordinating with relevant parties to verify information and handle it according to regulations.
Only accommodation establishments submit CCCD
Talking to reporters from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Vo Thi Anh Thu - Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Phu Hoi Ward (Hue City) - said that currently, massage establishments in the ward's management area do not have regulations. Which is as posted above on Facebook.
"Only accommodation locations such as motels, hotels... have regulations on presenting ID cards. Massage is just a normal service, customers experience the service and that's it, there are no regulations." does not require customers to fill in their CCCD number" - Ms. Thu affirmed.
On August 28, talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism said that these facilities are not under the direct management of the department but under the direct management of the local government. This department does not have clear information.

Accordingly, guests are forecast to reach 48,000, including about 16,500 international visitors. The average room capacity of hotels is about 64% (it is forecast that on August 31 and September 1, the room capacity of many accommodation establishments will reach over 80%).
Most hotels in the center of Hue city, coastal resort hotels, lagoons and waterfall streams, homestays in Hue city, Phu Loc district and A Luoi district are almost full of guests booking rooms during these 2 days.
Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoa - Chief Inspector of the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province - affirmed that the Department Inspectorate always receives feedback from tourists in Hue.
