During this cold air mass, the lowest temperature in the North and Thanh Hoa is generally from 20-23 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas it is below 19 degrees Celsius.
Heavy rain forecast
The Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control added that from early morning on September 22 to the night of September 22, in the midlands, the Northern Delta and Hoa Binh, there was moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 30-60mm, locally over 100mm. From September 23, heavy rain gradually decreased in the midlands and the Northern Delta.
From early morning of September 22 to night of September 23, in the North Central region, there was moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain with rainfall from 60-120mm, locally over 200mm.
From the night of September 22 to the night of September 23, from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain with rainfall from 20-60mm, locally over 120mm.
Regarding the hydrological situation, rivers in the Northern region: Water levels of rivers in the Northern region are below level 1 (alarm 1); only Day River in Phu Ly is below level 2; Bui River and Tich River are above level 3. Water levels at 7:00 a.m. on September 22, on some rivers are as follows:
On the Day River at Phu Ly (Ha Nam) 3.42m, below BD2 0.08m. On the Bui River at Yen Duyet 7.30m, above BD3 0.30m. On the Tich River at Kim Quan 8.72m, above BD3 0.2m.
Regarding the rain situation, from 7:00 p.m. on September 20 to 7:00 p.m. on September 21, the Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions will have moderate to heavy rain, with common rainfall from 40-70mm, some stations will have heavier rain such as: Tan Ky (Nghe An) 131mm, Dua (Nghe An) 122mm, Son Ky (Quang Ngai) 113mm, An Tay (Thua Thien Hue) 96mm, Ea Kao (Dak Lak) 95mm, Bao Dinh (Tien Giang) 102mm, Tan Phu (Ben Tre) 99mm.
From 7:00 p.m. on September 21 to 7:00 a.m. on September 22, the Northern, Central and Central Highlands regions will have moderate to heavy rain, with rainfall ranging from 40-80mm; other areas will have scattered rain. Rain for 3 days (7pm September 18 to 7pm September 21): The Central region has heavy to very heavy rain, with common rainfall of 200-400mm, some stations have larger total rainfall such as: Dua (Nghe An) 507mm; Tan Ky (Nghe An) 505mm, Huong Quang (Ha Tinh) 416mm; Trong Hoa (Quang Binh) 555mm; Hoa Son (Quang Binh) 546mm; Ta Long (Quang Tri) 421mm; Bach Ma (Thua Thien Hue) 424mm.
Strong winds, high waves and thunderstorms forecast at sea
Also according to the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, on the day and night of September 22, the Gulf of Tonkin sea area will have strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8; the sea area from Binh Dinh to Binh Thuan, the South of the North East Sea area, the Central East Sea area will have strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8; the sea area north of the North East Sea will have winds of level 6, gusting to level 7.
During the day and night of September 22, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau, the Gulf of Thailand, the North East Sea (including the sea area of Hoang Sa archipelago) and the middle East Sea, there will be showers and thunderstorms. During the thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 7-8.
