On the night of January 27, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security informed that, implementing the order of the Director of the Traffic Police Department on strengthening inspection, control, and handling of traffic order and safety violations and passenger transport activities, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Team 6), Room 6 mobilized maximum forces and vehicles, and organized strict control of vehicles circulating on the route.
Accordingly, during the time frame from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on January 27, 2026, Task Force Team 6 conducted inspections of 25 passenger cars. Through inspection work, functional forces discovered and made administrative violation records for 5 vehicles with violations of traffic safety regulations.
In which, the working group made records against 5 drivers for the act of carrying people on a car without wearing seat belts at locations equipped with seat belts when the car was running (According to Point l, Clause 3, Article 6, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP), with fines ranging from 800,000 to 1,000,000 VND.
At the same time, functional forces also made records for 15 passengers not wearing seat belts at locations equipped with seat belts when the car was running (According to Clause 4, Article 12, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP), with fines ranging from 350,000 to 400,000 VND.

According to the assessment of the traffic police force, not tying seat belts is still a common violation on highways, especially for passengers on sleeper buses. Meanwhile, tying seat belts is not only a mandatory requirement of law but also the most direct and effective measure to protect life for everyone when participating in traffic by car.
Reality shows that in many traffic accidents, tying seat belts has significantly reduced the severity of injuries, reduced the risk of death and loss of life," the Traffic Police Department informed.
Especially, when vehicles travel on steep, winding roads with many dangerous curves or in bad weather conditions, the risk of accidents is always latent. In these situations, seat belts are likened to "lifeguards", helping to stabilize the body, avoid being thrown or hit hard when unexpected incidents occur.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that, for the safety of themselves and the community, everyone needs to develop the habit of tying seat belts every time they get on the bus, whether sitting in a chair or lying in bed.
