On January 30, Truong Phu Commune Police (Quang Tri province) said that the unit had just discovered and seized a large number of illegal firecrackers in the area.
During patrols and inspections to ensure security and order, the task force of Truong Phu Commune Police discovered a student driving an electric bicycle with suspicious signs in the gate area of Mai Thuy Secondary School, Xuan Lai village.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered in the trunk of N.M.T's motorbike (born 2013, residing in Chau Xa village, Truong Phu commune) a nylon bag containing 97 sphere-shaped firecrackers, with colorful plastic shells, each with a fuse. Initial investigation, N.M.T confessed that the above exhibits were firecrackers.
Conducting an expanded inspection, Truong Phu Commune Police determined that many other types of firecrackers were also hidden at N.M.T's house. Working with Ms. P.T.T (born 1982, N.M.T's biological mother), this person admitted that all the above firecrackers belonged to her.
Exhibits seized included 6 boxes of 49-tube firecrackers, 1 bag of 97-round firecrackers and 2 homemade firecracker tubes.
Truong Phu Commune Police made a record, temporarily seized and sealed all exhibits to continue investigating, verifying and handling according to the provisions of law.
At the same time, functional agencies recommend that people strictly comply with regulations, absolutely do not store, trade, or use firecrackers, especially before, during and after the Lunar New Year.
